By adding another user as a friend, you’ll be able to message them individually in the messaging system. You will also be able to invite them to Linkups that you create, and also share other Linkups with them within your messages.
You may have spotted a typo in your Linkup description, or the location has now changed… we’ve got you covered. From your Linkup page, tap the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner and from there tap “Edit Linkup”. You’ll then be directed to a page where you can individually edit the Title, Location, Description, Categories and the Start/End Time.
Throughout the app, you will see 5 icons at the bottom of the screen. If you tap the Linkup logo icon in the middle, this will bring you to the first step of creating a Linkup. It will be a step-by-step process where you will set the Title, Location, Description, Categories and the Start/End Time and lastly invite some friends to attend the Linkup.
Linkup discovers linkups using location-based technology, based on the distance, time, and categories that you have selected within your filters.
Support
If you’ve been banned from Linkup, this means we’ve detected suspicious activity with your account that has violated our Terms. We take this very seriously, and therefore our team would have made the decision to remove your account. You will not be able to create a new account with the same phone number.
Tap the bottom right icon to access your profile page, then click the top right ‘Settings’ icon. You can then tap the ‘Change Phone Number’ option. You’ll need to confirm your new number with an SMS code, like you did when you initially signed up with your old phone number.
Tap the bottom right icon to access your profile page, then click the top right ‘Settings’ icon. You can then tap the ‘Delete account’ option. Please note that by just deleting the app this will not delete your account, you’ll need to follow the steps above if you want all your data within the app to be deleted.
Your safety comes first on Linkup. If something happens that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please report it right away. You can report both individual profiles and/or specific Linkups. On either a person’s profile or a Linkup page, tap the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner and from there tap “Report User / Linkup”. You’ll then be prompted to write a reason for reporting the user / linkup, of which you can share as much or as little information as you feel comfortable with, but the more information we have, the easier it will be for us to support you and take action.
General
You are required to be at least 17 years or older to register and use Linkup.
We currently do not offer a feature where you can verify your account. We do understand that some users will want this feature for safety precautions, so this will be implemented in future updates of the app.
At the moment, Linkup is only available in the UK. That being said, we have ambitious plans to be the global platform for meeting new people in your area. Good things come to those who wait…
